I am sharing this picture to share the story that goes along with it. 
2023 started a bit heavy as a wave of depression took over me again. Although all goes in the right direction around me otherwise, my shadows returned to haunt my mind once more.

On the new moon of January 2022, I made this new drum, which I named Veiviser (Pathfinder). 

Many years ago, I prepared this reindeer hide that I got from the Sami in Northern Norway, but my first attempt at making a drum with it wasn’t a success back then and so that project was set aside… until I dreamt of a reindeer drum being given to me, and when waking up, I realised I had now everything I needed to finally give birth to this drum (including some more knowledge about how to actually make a drum), so I gathered everything and went into my sanctuary.

It was spring equinox last week and these days I have been busy collecting the precious sap from birch trees to make birch syrup... which is the Scandinavian variant of the Canadian maple syrup - same process, however different taste and different qualities.

Working on new songs in Seidsang Studio together with Gustav Holberg who is recording and mixing. In between the intensive work on music, we found time to go for a walk and got gifted some chaga mushroom we made tea from. On that same walk, a deer greeted us, 3 eagles flied above us and the ravens accompanied us along... powerful energies within nature infused into the flowing inspiration these days...
